Phytomem One cover

Phytomem One is a "brain support" dietary supplement sold through ClickBank and marketed mainly to adults over 55 who worry about memory lapses, brain fog or losing words. This guide explains what's in it, what the research on those ingredients really shows, what it costs, and the safety points to raise with your doctor.

Important: This page is general information, not medical advice. Phytomem One is a dietary supplement. Statements about it haven't been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration, and it isn't intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. If you or someone you love has noticeable or worsening memory problems, see a doctor: several common, treatable causes (such as thyroid problems, vitamin B12 deficiency, medication side effects, sleep problems and depression) can affect memory.

Quick verdict

  • What it is: a once-daily tablet with 10 plant and nutrient ingredients. The bottle shown says 30 tablets, which is a one-month supply.
  • Price: $79 a bottle for 2 bottles, $59 a bottle for 3, or $49 a bottle for 6. Shipping is $9.95 on the 2-bottle order and free in the US on larger orders.
  • Recurring charges: none, according to the seller's FAQ. The ClickBank checkouts we checked showed one-time totals.
  • Refund: 60 days through ClickBank.
  • Our take: several ingredients have some early research behind them, but much of it is about blood sugar, not memory. There is no published trial of Phytomem One itself, and the doses aren't shown on the sales page. Talk to your doctor before trying it, especially if you take diabetes or other prescription medication.

The "toxic brain shards" story, explained neutrally

The sales video talks about "toxic brain shards", and versions of the page mention a "plastic stranglehold" and "type 3 diabetes". Here is what lies behind those phrases:

  • Microplastics: a 2025 study in Nature Medicine found microplastic and nanoplastic particles in human brain tissue collected at autopsy (Nihart et al., 2025). That's real research, but scientists don't yet know what these particles do to brain health. No study we know of shows that any supplement removes them from the brain.
  • "Type 3 diabetes": this is an informal term some researchers use for the link between insulin resistance and brain ageing. It isn't a recognised medical diagnosis, and it isn't proof that blood-sugar ingredients improve memory.

So "toxic brain shards" is a marketing phrase, not an established medical concept. We don't repeat the video's claims as fact.

Phytomem One ingredients: the 10 listed

The sales page lists these ingredients in three groups. It doesn't show a Supplement Facts label or the dose of each ingredient, which makes it hard to compare with the amounts used in studies. Ask the seller for the label before you buy.

GroupIngredients
"Cellular Defense Matrix"Saffron extract, fucoxanthin and fucoidan (from Japanese kelp), oleuropein (olive leaf)
"Brain Fuel & Vitality Complex"Berberine HCl, Ceylon cinnamon bark, corosolic acid (banaba leaf), kudzu flower extract
"Neural Amplifier System"Morosil (Moro red orange extract), xylitol

What the research actually shows

  • Saffron: this is the strongest memory-related ingredient on the list. A 2020 meta-analysis of randomised trials in people with mild cognitive impairment or dementia found saffron performed better than placebo on some cognitive scores, but the trials were small and short (Ayati et al., 2020). Those studies used specific standardised doses, and we can't tell whether Phytomem One matches them.
  • Berberine: well studied for blood sugar and cholesterol. Evidence for memory comes mainly from animal studies; a 2023 review of berberine in Alzheimer's disease models looked at rodents, not people (Front Pharmacol, 2023). MedlinePlus lists many possible drug interactions (MedlinePlus: Berberine).
  • Cinnamon: studies on blood sugar are mixed, and there's no good evidence that it helps memory (NCCIH: Cinnamon).
  • Banaba (corosolic acid): small studies suggest a modest effect on blood sugar, and a review noted the need for larger, better-quality trials (Stohs et al., 2012). We found no memory trials.
  • Fucoxanthin and fucoidan: studied in cells and animals; we found no good human trials on memory.
  • Olive leaf (oleuropein): mainly studied for blood pressure and blood sugar, with limited evidence (MedlinePlus: Olive leaf).
  • Kudzu, Moro orange extract and xylitol: we found no reliable human evidence for memory benefits. Xylitol is a sugar alcohol that can cause stomach upset in larger amounts.

Bottom line: the formula leans heavily on blood-sugar ingredients. Saffron has the most promising, though still early, evidence for cognition. No clinical trial of the finished Phytomem One product has been published that we could find.

Safety: talk to your doctor first

  • Diabetes or blood-sugar medication: berberine, cinnamon, banaba and olive leaf may all lower blood sugar. Combined with medicines like metformin, insulin or sulfonylureas, that could push glucose too low.
  • Other prescriptions: berberine can change how the body processes some drugs, including some blood thinners and cyclosporine. Bring the bottle to your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Pregnancy and breastfeeding: berberine is considered unsafe in pregnancy and while breastfeeding.
  • Dogs: xylitol is highly toxic to dogs. Keep the bottles out of reach of pets.
  • Surgery: tell your surgical team about any supplements you take.

The seller's own page also says to consult a physician if you're pregnant, nursing, taking medication or have a medical condition.

Who it may suit, and who should skip it

May suit you if:

  • Your doctor has checked your memory concerns and is comfortable with you trying a supplement.
  • You aren't taking blood-sugar-lowering or interacting medications.
  • You understand that any effect is uncertain and are prepared to use the refund if it doesn't help.

Skip it, or ask your doctor first, if:

  • You have diabetes, take prescription medicines, are pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • Memory changes are new, sudden or getting worse. That needs a medical check-up, not a supplement.

Is Phytomem One legit or a scam?

Phytomem One is a real product sold through ClickBank, which processes the payment and handles refunds, so you're buying from a known retailer rather than an anonymous site. "Legit" isn't the same as "works as advertised", though. There's no published trial of Phytomem One itself, the doses aren't shown on the sales page, and much of the ingredient research is about blood sugar rather than memory.

  • Buy only through the official page or ClickBank checkout. Many search results for "phytomem one reviews" are press releases, paid posts and copied pages that repeat the sales pitch, not independent tests.
  • Keep your order number and email receipt; you need them for any refund.

Phytomem One side effects

There are no published safety studies of Phytomem One itself, so possible side effects come from its listed ingredients. The biggest concerns are blood-sugar-lowering ingredients (berberine, cinnamon, banaba and olive leaf) combined with diabetes medicine, berberine's drug interactions, and xylitol's toxicity to dogs. See the safety section above, and stop taking it and talk to a doctor if you feel unwell.

Do memory supplements work?

For most memory supplements, good evidence in healthy adults is thin, and supplement makers don't have to prove they work before selling them. Sleep, exercise, managing blood pressure and blood sugar, and treating hearing loss have stronger support. If you notice real memory changes, see a doctor rather than self-treating.
